4 weeks? Why spend anything, just disconnect the battery. You have a 2000 so the frunk is cable operated not electric.

Do you think an older battery will keep a charge that long if it isn’t connected? This one has maybe 1-2 years left, and older batteries don’t hold a charge as well.

So... just disconnect the battery cables and be done with it. Do you want to come back to a dead battery? Bet your answer is no. Disconnect.

Batteries begin losing their ability to keep a charge the moment you plug them into a car. Could your battery hold a charge for a month? Don't know. Disconnect.

I would say that any of the name brand "quality maintainers" would be fine. Battery Tender, Battery Minder or even the HD branded one (obviously made by another company)...all come to mind.

I plug mine into a maintainer all the time when it's in my garage. Old habits die hard, but it works for me.
