Upgrade to auto-dimming rear view mirror?

Probably a very dumb question, but I have a base 2000 with the manual dimming rear view mirror. Night time driving sucks, and I’m spoiled by 2016 truck with the auto dimming feature.

Am I able to upgrade mine to an auto-dimming one, or is there wiring involved that my car won’t have?

Wiring available too, and fairly easy to install.

Some times this is paired with auto dimming driver door mirror

what is starred out is sun coast parts, all one word ... be sure to check if Pelican has it too.

or slam on the brakes...they will get the hint.

Know what you mean though. Tough to go from a truck that is higher up then most headlights to something that has every headlight right in the middle of the mirror

The lifted truck drivers in Texas would see that as a challenge unfortunately.. btdt.. it's not quite as bad now that I got Lasik done. When I wore glasses, it like magnified the brightness at night it seemed.

Why not just get a generic one for $80 on Amazon?
