You never said what year and model, which is ALWAYS critical for code definitions.

Depending upon the above, it may be the O2 sensor heater on bank #1 ahead of the main cat.

OK, P1117 is the code for a heater failure on the O2 sensor ahead of the cat on bank #1. Diagnostics are to check the heat circuit on that sensor for resistance (should be 1.8- 2.5 ohm), a short to ground, or no voltage. If everything is OK, replace the sensor.
