Low RPM, intermittent low voltage.

Hi everybody

I have a 2002 triptonic 986 boxster with 77,000 miles, 2.7 liters.

The problem is when I stop the rpm for a couple of seconds deep to 400 rpm returning to 750 - 800 rpm.

This operation cause the Bluetooth of the radio to disconnect and sometimes the PSM and anti block lights turn on for just one second.

The code are not permanent and they read “Low voltage”. When this happens. The next time I start the car the code is not there.

I have done the following
Clean the MAF sensor and change the O2 sensor 6 months ago.
Last week change plugs, belt, water pump, air filter, oil change, brakes.

Olso the headlight level sensor strut support was broken an replaced. This sensor is only for the Ligths or is used in other processes?

Any ideas, suggestions?

I will appreciate any assistance

Regards.

Did you have the battery load tested? Alternator tested? replace your belt? Above sounds like an electrical issue.

The battery is in good condition, tested with load.
The alternator doesn’t generated any code or light. No further test.

The problem is only with the low RPM when I stop, this deep is only one second. And after that the rpm are estable in 750 - 800 rpm. Everything else looks fine.

The failure in voltage has correlation with the low RPM

I would have it tested and check your belt. also check & clean connectors at the alternator, battery & main ground points. Had same problems and it was a combination of alternator & corroded connections.

New development,

Now I read a code 5506, “Electrical system (rate-of-turn sensor)”

Is this related with the light sensor a just repair?

Any assistance wil be appreciated

Regards
