Whine from front of car after long drive
 

Hi everyone

After a long drive recently of my '98 986 with 88k miles, I noticed a loud whine coming from the extreme front of the front the bumper. It does not change with revs. It is a constant high pitched whine.

It is the same volume on either side of the car.

I know there are radiators in the front bumper. Is this a restriction of some sort?

It only happens after a long drive (1-2 hours) and it slowly increases in volume during the drive until it reaches the very loud level you hear here in this video of it:
