Looking for a bike rack

Hi
Does anyone know if Willwood Systems is still selling their hitch mounts?
Does anyone have one that they would like to sell?
Or does anyone have a Bird Rack that they would like to sell?
They seem like the best options for hauling a mountain bike on a Boxster.
Thanks.

I went for a DIY approach to install a bike rack.

That’s a very nice and clean design. I have not seen anything available commercially that is as elegant of a solution.

I believe Will was getting up in age so he sold the business. They rebranded as SportTows, but are still family owned and made in San Antonio, TX. I purchased the receiver and hitch for my track trailer about 2 years ago, after the new owners and rebrand. Communication was not the most responsive, but they arrived and they are great quality. Installed it myself. There's not a better solution out there IMO... the whole thing is completely hidden behind the flip up plate when not being used. They still do the bike rack receiver too I believe.

Thank you

Thanks so much for this. I would probably not have found them otherwise.
How difficult of an install is this? It’s hard for me to tell from the website. How do the 2 brackets that attach behind the black bumper covers function? Are all 3 pieces somehow connected? Or do they just add reinforcement?

I can add pics from my install, but not sure how. Is there a way or is that not available to me yet since I'm a new forum member?

The heavy-duty bumper brackets connect the metal bumper to the car chassis itself under each taillight, if that makes sense. I could probably do it again it 2-3 hours, but I'd give yourself a Saturday for a first time install and if you like to take your time. The plastic bumper cover has to be removed. Not difficult, just takes a bit of time.

The add photos thing….

That would be great to see some of your photos of the install. Does this system work with any hitch-mounted bike rack? I emailed them, but have not heard back. Yet.
