It's stupid
So I disconnected the air pipe by the throttle plate. The hard plastic one. I went to put it back on and for the life of me I cannot get it back on. I get it on as far as I can put instead of popping on - it slides off.
Anyone else run into this? |
Are you talking about the air intake from the filter to the throttle? If so, I had the same problem and ended up heating the plastic with a heat gun (carefully) to give it a bit more flexibility. I presume that they harden with age.

I think this is pretty common, happened to me ages ago when I cleaned my TB. I don't rember which way I did it specifically, but start with the pipe angled and seat the back or the front fully, then rock the pipe into place while maintaining a hell of a lot of pressure on it. A little ptfe spray on the TB doesn't hurt.

The heat gun worked like a champ. Thanks
