Air con pipes

Howdy all

Wondering if anyone knows the answer to what I hope is a simple question.

I may need to replace the flexi air-con pipes that run from the compressor down to the sill (where they attach to the hard lines that run front to back).

Does anyone know if this is an engine out job?

Many thanks

It can be done engine in, but it is a tight fit job on some models.

Thanks for the response, that's encouraging. Mine's a manual 2.5.

I have replaced the condensers at the front and was in the process of replacing the badly corroded hard lines under the sill. Unfortunately, one the unions was corroded to the extent that the bolt has essentially welded itself into the avocado-shaped aluminum washer.

Head of the bolt snapped off trying to remove it, so if it can't be drilled out on the ramp (I can't do it on my back with the car on axle stands), then I may have to bite the bullet and replace the whole line. Why is nothing ever easy?
