Lumen® LUDRLA1 DRLs

Does anyone have any experience with installation of the Lumen® LUDRLA1 - 7.5" Rectangular LED Daytime Running Lights with Auto On/Off?
They look like they would be a great addition to my car except the installation instructions leave a lot to be desired. To start with the instructions are a single page PDF file with a black background and white text. I have experience with schematics and wiring diagrams but the information provided is very generic and going to take some work to put together an installation plan.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Looks pretty basic. 12v constant, 12v switched & ground connected with a relay & switch. wiring looks like any light wiring I put in Jeeps all the time. Nothing special about putting them in a 986 from a wiring perspective.

A while ago I did something like that and used signal to turn them on from oil pressure transducer.
I wanted to have them on when the engine is running, not through the ignition.

But the ignition - simple task... as mentioned above.

DRLs

I purchased a iJDMTOY (1) Universal LED Daytime Running Light Automatic ON/OFF Controller Module Box Relay. Has all of the features I am looking for with an excellent Youube Video and written instructions. I will update once I have everything up and running.

I have a US car that did not have DRL's. I simply replaced my fog light bulbs with Led's and leave the fog lights on all of the time. They go on and off with the ignition. This works with my 1999- maybe not all model years?

Why go to all of the trouble to wire in and install something extra?

It's not trouble, it's a challenge and something I enjoy doing. People play golf, watch football, water ski etc. I enjoy my workshop, be it woodworking or cars to me it's fun. The latest is drls and it is nearing completion.

I get it! For me its about fewer systems and simplicity for my simple mind ....

Post pics when you are done- I would like to see how it turns out.

Daytime Running Lights

I finally finished my DRLs. Did not take much time, just had some pressing issues that took up my time. The controller I used was supposed to shut off the DRLs when the turn signals were operating. What it actually did was flashed the turn signal light and the DRL. I looked for a way to turn off the DRLs when the turn signals were operating and due to the way the flasher works a simple relay would not work. I got out my Raspberry to see if there was a way to program it to perform the operation and so far the has not happened. Will keep looking into that. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02/DRLs1636731477.jpg
