The longest 1 second....
 

The "longest 1 second" is the time that it takes my motor to rev down from 6500k to 4k rpm when up shifting from 1st to second gear. It feels like an eternity before I can let that clutch out.

I don't really want to fry my 5 speed so I haven't tried this, but I'm guessing that getting back on the gas and letting the clutch out as soon as 2nd is engaged with the motor still at 5500-6k will either destroy the clutch or the fork.

So, any tips for lightning fast upshifting? I realize that this isn't an old school mustang gt and the tranny want built for power shifting, but I figured I would ask.

On a similar note, when downshifting to get the rpms up for a pass (not going into a braking maneuver) I've always come off throttle, depressed clutch, blipped throttle to rev match, and released clutch. Can this be simplified by stayng on throttle (steady load, not WOT) while depressing clutch so that I won't have to then blip the throttle?

Bump...Nothing? Don't tell me that all the speed guys have moved on to 991s

Shift it like any other car - upshift -clutch out and throttle down as fast as your feet can move.
