GT2 Front Bumper

I have been able to source a GT2 front bumper from a local body shop. Body shop owner not sure of exact year but knows it came off a 1999-2001 GT2. Will this bumper fit on my 1997 Boxster? This is an OEM Part and I can get it for a great price.

I don't believe they made a GT2 between 1999-01. 01 was the first year IIRC, so he must be mixing it up with the GT3.

If it is indeed a mk1 (996.1) GT3 bumper, it will fit as the headlights are the same on a mk1 GT3 and a 986.
