1997 Convertible Top

I have been working on the top opening and closing and I still have a few questions. Both transmissions have been upgraded by the previous owner with the standoffs installed and I just replaced both drive gears ... the right side was broken. Is it normal for the left and right to not be synced perfectly?

Another issue is the window frames do not seat together for a flush look. Could not find an adjustment for this ...

in my experience, when you replace any of the top gear transmissions you have to readjust the top to get it synched. there's a good article on pelican website, that's what i used for mine and it worked well.

check out the end of this guide, it explains how to do it:
