Inner door pull - microswitch removal
I did a search and while there are a lot of threads on microswitches and window regulators, I wasn't able to find the answer to this...
How do you remove the microswitch in the inner door pull assembly? Background - I have determined that I need to replace the microswitch in the inner door pull that is on the passenger's side. I was able to find a complete inner door pull assembly at a junk yard and need to remove the microswitch from it and put it in my car. The door pulls are different colors so I can't just use the entire assembly. I know it is possible to remove the microswitch as Pelican Parts sells a replacement - 996-613-123-00-OEM I don't want to break the microswitch figuring this out. Any help on which direction to pry it out (or if there is a retaining clip that I'm not seeing)? |
difficult to describe. if you take the door panel off, just follow the wire and gently pull it out. Might need a pick to help release it.

Thanks - I actually pried it up by placing a screw driver blade between the handle frame and where the electrical connector attaches to the microswitch. Popped right out.

that has nothing to do with the microswitch

No, my window doesn't drop when I attempt to open the door from the inside. I have ruled out the window regulator as it works from the outside handle.
