Bulbs or No Bulbs?? 3rd Brake Light

Need to replace my third brake light. Had a couple bulbs out so I took it apart. In doing so I lost the two rubber grommets in the body of the car and the plastic case on the back of the light disintegrated when I tried to take the cover off. What was supposed to be replacing two bulbs is now a $170++ repair. Such is life. My question...
When I order the new brake light - does it come with all the bulbs already installed or do I need to order 7 new bulbs as well?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

			should come with everything.
Buy one off e-bay. Just replaced one that was pretty broken and only cost me $30 shipped.

Awesome. I'll shop it around. I think I can find it for less. I do try to stick with OEM parts when possible.

Found it new for $60 on ****************************'s site. Replacing it with a used one that is just as brittle as mine was doesn't make sense for $30 extra.

Wow. First time I've seen a site's name blanked out. We let scammers post all sorts of weird crap but I can't mention where I got a good deal. Makes sense.

In our forum host's defense, they are in the business of selling car parts for multiple brands. It wouldn't hurt to throw them some love once in awhile. It costs nothing to be part of this forum. In which it has saved me personally a whole lot of money from figuring out how to complete a repair on my own.

I’ve got an extra one in nice shape sitting around. If you want it just pay shipping.

On eBay you can find led 3rd brake lights in both clear and smoke finish. I replaced both my side marker lights and the 3rd brake light with clear housing versions and it makes the boxster look much more modern.
The little rubber plugs are only about $2 each from either your dealer or pelican.

I’m not sure why you would replace your old brake light with a new incandescent fixture - the led fixtures are brighter and imho look better too.

I just dropped $300 at Pelican for a spring tune up and other odds and ends. I've long supported Pelican and was a member of this site before Pelican bought them. Wasn't expecting to break my third brake light trying to repair it. So I see it at Pelican for $176 and I found it elsewhere online brand new OEM for $60. Thought that was a great price and worth sharing with fellow Boxster owners. Doesn't mean I don't support this site. Which one would you have purchased?

Please don't mistake my comments for criticism on your choices. I saw an opportunity to, voice again, what a great forum this is. Openly thank them and state how much I appreciate their online support. And to remind all that there is cost involved in hosting such. My apologies, if you took my comments personally. Safe travels.
