986 tire pressure

What is the correct front/rear tire pressures for a 1999 Boxster? And is it the same regardless of tire size?

On my 04 the tire pressures are listed on the inside of the fuel door. Rick

On my 03 S the pressures are 29 front and 36 rear. Not sure what the 99 base would be but it’s gotta be close.

Should be a sticker under the frunk lid or the drivers door jamb. My 97' is 29 front and 36 rear, if I remember correctly.

I was going to confirm this as well. I just replaced the rear tires with Michelin All Season Pilots, on my 2000 stock base 986. The fronts have 50% wear. Replaced the two rears because I had a defective rear tire and Costco’s warranty includes a free 2nd tire. “Single axle warranty”. The tire pressures are 29 front, 36 rear. Anyway, since replacing the rear tires, the handling seems to have changed. The backend feels squirrelly. So would tire pressures change when there is this disparity in tire wear? I was going try increasing the rear pressures to reduce sidewall flex. But really, I haven’t a clue. It’s also hard to do much testing since it’s nearly impossible to find a working and accessible air compressor in these parts.
