Every gear is neutral 🤬

Just driving around, all of sudden my 2001 Porsche boxster S decides to make a weird lil noise try to put it in 2nd and nothing. Put it in any gear and it feels like neutral. Clutch feels the same ???!!!??!!!
Please help

Check the cable connections at the transmission. The shift cables from the shifter are connected to and move two levers on the side of your transmission. They fail.
If no problem there then check the cable connections at the shifter.
Keep us posted let us know what you find.

The technical term is "hand fulla neutrals".

Blue62 has sent you in the proper direction.

take a look at your drive shafts..

this could be a sign of a CV joint (axle) that failed..

Had something like this happen to me a couple months ago, in my case the CV joints were the issue

U guys r awesome!!! So I got it towed to my cousin's house to get fixed. Somehow the gears work for a little bit at his house and he drove it down the road and it went out again. It was the driver's side cv joint/axle whatever. So he's replacing both of them. Any suggestions on a reasonable not stupid sounding exhaust!?!?
Thanks again!!!
