Camshaft position sensor not founded. MELTED?

I purchased a Boxster to a "messy" owner few days ago. I haven't used the car cause I want to fix some things: the car had no coolant and the oil was high, among other things.
The car had started normally until I did an oil change. My durametric arrived and I looked for errors, resulting in p1397 camshaft position sensor 2 signal implausible.
Well, the funny thing is coming... I was trying to find the sensor without success. There is no sensor and no hole to put the sensor, is it possible? WTF.

edit: Realized that ROW Boxsters have just one cam sensor (mine is european). New in Porsche...
The error may appear because the ecu was remapped (probably with an US version).
