Torque spec for CSF radiator drain plug

Hi,

I am replacing my radiators with the 7044 CSF aluminum ones (2002 986). The radiators have removable drain and vent hose plugs with a rubber gasket. Does anyone know the torque specs for those?

Thanks,

Brian

I don't know. If no one else has the answer, telephone the vendor from whom you're purchasing the rads.... or the compan/manufacturer.. ask ask them. Good luck.

I don't know the torque spec but I had issues with the rubber washers crushing and creating a leak. Replaced with copper washers and tightened to gently compress. No leaks.

After instal, my mechanic said he usually puts an o ring on the drain plug so it centers the copper washer. Worked ok without the oring but thought I'd share his method too.
