Rennline mount with GT3 console
 

I'm thinking of converting my 986 console to the GT3 version, but I really have an affinity for my Rennline magnetic phone mount. The mount attaches to part of the console that gets removed and I'm wondering if anyone has a solution that has worked.

I have the GT3/console delete installed and considering mounting a mount/magnet to the console delete part itself.

Yeah, that may be the only way to go. I'm thinking of drilling a small hole through the console, reinforcing the backside with a 2"x2" piece of 1/8" plexiglass and running a bolt through.

I recently installed the console delete and the piece is quite sturdy and suitable to mount to.

I currently use a Magbak case which utilizes a small narrow magnetic strip to mount to the surface. I am considering if I want to utilize this, or go back to the Scosche mounting I previously used. My iPhone 11, if mounted close to the surface of the console delete will only fit in landscape. Some offset is going to be required if I want it to be mountable vertically.
