New exhaust getting installed tomorrow
Ok, so I decided to go with a custom Magnaflow install. It seems that all the aftermarket exhaust systems are a lot more $$$ than one from a local exhasut shop. I have heard a few of the bolt-on aftermarket ones and they just don't seem to have the sound I'm looking for. I know what I'm getting will be loud, but my Yukon Denali has a Magnaflow system and I'm happy with that one.

David,
Check your pm please. Thanks. |
So I got my car back tonight. All I can say is WOW. What a difference the Magnaflow makes. It took a little longer than expected since we changed the design the first day the car was there. They had to order a new muffler for the new design. We ended up doing a single muffler instead of two seperate ones. Lost even more weight now.
I will take some better pictures in the morning, but here is a quick one. I know it doesn't look centered, but it really is. It's just the angle I took the pic. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...ey/muffler.jpg |
Hi David, how much was this exhaust system all together? I'm looking to put a new exhaust on my car as well, and was thinking about a Borla. I'm still an amateur, so I heard Borla was good. But this one looks pretty nice too.

Total cost was $680 (before tax) for parts and labor. It was well worth it in my mind. I have heard a few other aftermarket bolt-on ones that just didn't seem to have enough sound for me. This one definately does the trick.

So I have a short, poorly made video of the exhaust from inside the car.
The video was done with me holding the camera on my way to work. I will get a better set of videos done soon, but for now, this is what I have. http://www.emeraldcitycustoms.com/videos/exhaust.wmv |
