Need chicago area mechanic

Hi -
I’m looking for any recommendations in the Chicago area for a mechanic to look at a malfunctioning convertible top motor. I’ve got a a 2002 Boxster S....alas, I am not mechanically inclined.

(I’ve had it earlier to VFC Engineering, which is within walking distance......but alas, they will not under any conditions use anything but brand new parts straight from Porsche. Their clientele seems to be several income brackets above my pay scale).

Looking more for the independent individual that knows what they’re doing.

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure if he works on this, but I had a PPI done at Kurt's German Autowerks in Homer Glen. I am not from the area and he was great to deal with. He is a Porsche Specialist and knows his stuff. Maybe worth a call to see if he can help you out.

Kurt's German Autowerks ::: Porsche & Audi Service Located in Homer Glen, IL southwest of Chicago

I've used Kurt's German Werks in Homer Glen, IL (Southwest suburb). 708301-2910) He will only use genuine P parts also but knows what he's doing and is generous with advice.
