986 bucks/jumps up and down in 1st

I have a 2000 Boxster S and sometimes it bucks or jumps up and down in 1st when I take off. I have to slow down and it stops. What do you think the problem is?? I am thinking a bad clutch?? Car has lots of miles on it.

Others will jump in but my guess is the transmission mount is bad...take a look at the engine mounts as well.

Get a buddy to follow you while you take off. Get your buddy to keep an eye on your tail pipe in relation to the bumper. If the tail pipe moves up and down more than 1/2" your motor mounts/trans mounts are shot.

My 99 had the same issue until I replaced the front motor mount.......
