Ignition Coils needed for 2001 Boxster S

My 2001 Boxster S was 'missing' on 1st and 2nd gear. My mechanic inspected the engine and 4 of the 6 ignition coils are cracked. I need 6 new ignition coils (PN 997 602 107 00) and 6 Bosch spark plugs (PN 999 170 201 90).

Does anyone have any suggestions for reputable sites to find these parts?

Thanks!

You can get plugs anywhere. Try using our forum host for the coils. https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperCat/1048/POR_1048_BASTUN_pg2.htm#item7

Got my coils from rock auto. They had a good selection. I went with AC Delco units.

I recently had to replace a coil and used part number 997 602 104 04. I know you are planning to buy 997 602 107 00 coils. (The difference may be that the coil is different for the S than for the base.) If they are similar to the one I bought, they are slightly larger than the coils that were originally on the car. You won't be able to re-use the fasteners that were used with the original coils. The revised fastener (Porsche calls it a coil screw) is 900 385 025 01.

I’ve used the behr coils for years. No issues, and replace the bolts, spark plugs and tubes while your in there. Build a tool to pull the tubes, I use a thin long bolt with a washer sandwiched between nuts and a cable pull on the front end. It grabs the back edge and you pop it out with a tug. Push the new ones in with a socket on extension. Search for various methods on forum for other ways if you like.
