What suspension part is this?

Just found my control arm on the drivers side front trashed.

Also noticed that there's a wobbly little arm thing that used to be attached to the control arm held down by plastic. Does anyone know what this is?

I looked up control arms for this car and can't seem to find what this piece is. The control arm kits for this car don't have it either.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1591745636.jpg

That connects the arm to the leveling sensor (in upper right of your pic) for your Litronic headlights. There will be a sensor at both wheels on the left side of the car.

Andrew.

Thanks, never would have thought of that. Hopefully the dealer has the plastic part separately.

That's an odd place to have damage that severe. All I can guess is that maybe a tow truck driver used the control arm as a place to hook his chain to

The dealer has the part, make sure you get the rivet nut (plastic) also that attaches it to the hole in your new control arm. I broke mine doing rear suspension last year.

I got the car from Copart so yes anything could have happened on the way or from transport so yes you're probably right.
