Convertible dash light stays on

This weekend, I removed the clam and push rods making my top operate in the manual mode. (The top was stuck in the closed position and I have not had time to examine the cause all though one push rod cap was broken).

I am ok opening and closing the top manually. However the red dash light now stays on while I am driving the car. anyone know if there is a micro switch somewhere that I can jump out to get the dash light to stay off? I assume there had to be a limit or micro switch somewhere near the transmissions.

I remember reading it varies by year....but my 2000s has a micro switch in the driver side transition. you can tell by the wire leading to it.

there.

Thanks Rich XTR, we have the same year/model Porsche. I will check for micro switch and see if I can jump it.
