99 Boxster stuck in Valet mode
 

Hey there, I have been having a hard time with my Boxster after letting the battery die over the winter. It seems to be stuck in valet mode where the trunk levers are mechanically locked. I only have the one key fob which has never worked but it did not really cause any issues in the past as I would just lock and unlock with the key from the door.

Another new symptom for this is that the automatic door locks dont seem to pop anymore while using the key in the door.

Any tips on how I get this old beast rolling again?

Updates:

After having some time to mess with it this afternoon, here is the current symptom list

• Door locks do not pop from the dash button or using the key. They key in the door does not actually lock the door even mechanically.
  
• Power windows do not operate with the console buttons. They will jut up and down with door open and close as they should.
  
• Hood latches on drivers rocker are firmly locked
  
• Intermittently will start or not do anything.

The starting issue seems like it could be the classic ignition switch issue though I did replace that a little more than a year ago.

Is it possible that I got another faulty ignition switch and all of the symptoms are related to that?
