Fuel injector

hi guys,
was wondering if there was any sentiment on the off-the-shelf fuel injector cleaners that are available (Gumout etc) I remember once having a discussion with someone who suggested that they may not be a good idea for a higher-performance car like a 986......

My idle is a little wobbly, and I was wondering what product to try.

cheers,

Hi,

Here are 2 products which I have used successfully. The 1st is BG44K - http://www.autobahnpower.com/products.asp?recid=542 and the second is a product called Jectron from Lubro Moly - http://www.************************************************************************************************/ProductPage.aspx?pid=103895 .

BG44K is used by many professional shops and is probably the better of the two, but I have also used the Jectron and found it gave good results at ¼ the cost of the BG44K.

If you have never cleaned your injectors, I'd go with the BG44K and then use the Jectron annually after that. Hope this helps...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

If you are not pumping Chevron or Texaco gas with Techron, you may want to switch to these brands of premium fuel... the Techron does a splendid job of keeping injectors clean and lots of forum members here swear by it.
