LN Engineering IMSB
While tearing down the 3.2 out of the Budget Boxster I noticed someone at some point in time had installed an LN Engineering IMSB. I was wondering if I could pull and reuse it in the current engine that is in the Boxster?

So you didn’t actually pull the IMS bearing. but can just lift the complete shaft out? Not sure if it can be reused as removing the bearing from the shaft effectively damages it.

Ask LN, bet they say no. And not for financial reasons but from damage pulling it.

The ONLY retrofit that is known to be reusable is the IMS Solution, because it has no moving parts. |
If you sacrifice the shaft and cut it in halves you can press it out using a tool that sits on the outer ring of the bearing. This way it won`t get damaged. The shaft is worth more than that bearing though.
