Anyone signed up for the April Porsche Event in NC?

The event occurs on Saturday, April 25, 2020

I am pretty sure it is sold out in 24 hours. There were only about 180 available tickets; however, the downtown event is open to everyone.
We are driving in with a group from Asheville to Brevard early Saturday.

What is Luft Wasser?

Luft Wasser is a Porsche Club Celebration (Air Water in German to reflect the Porsche heritage of air- and water-cooled Porsches) centered in Brevard, North Carolina that will bring over 200 Porsches and their owners and co-drivers to the event.

Porsche participants start the day with guided drives from one of six locations in North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina. There will be a central meet-up in Brevard where the City Police will lead a 150+ Porsche parade into town for a Main Street takeover. While their Porsches are on display on Main Street in downtown Brevard owners and their guests will enjoy socializing, shopping and eating throughout the city.

Event Highlights:

Over 200 Porsches are expected for the 3rd Annual Luft Wasser being held in 2020. See photos from the 2019 Luft Wasser here.
Drive in one of the mountain driving tours with five start locations that all meet-up in Brevard, North Carolina.
Participate in a Police-led Porsche parade of 175+ Porsches into downtown Brevard.
Display your Porsche on Main Street where you'll meet and talk with the other owners while you share your Porsche and enjoy others' Porsche.
Enjoy lunch with friends at one of the great restaurants of Brevard.

All public events here in LA are shut down for 30-60 days. They just cancelled the Indycar Long Beach Grand Prix which was scheduled for April 17-19.

I hope that this event still happens for everyone (because it sounds like a great event) but you might want to have contingency plans.

Lets pray we have a better understanding of the actual issues and cooler heads have prevailed by the end of April.

I am only a couple hours away and would love to, but not sure if I can that weekend. There is another good event in that area in June I think- the rennlist tail of the dragon tour that looks good, then a PCA event at the Greenbrier resort near my hometown in WV that I am definitely wanting to attend.

Already over capacity. Would rather find some like minded owners closer to central NC. Able to take off for a day trip with little of the preparation a event like this requires.

This will be my third year attending this event. Well organized and Brevard, NC is a great venue.

Hey Shoe - whereabouts in central NC are you located? There is a sports car club called the Blue Ridge Touring Group based out of Morgantown, NC. Mainly consists of Porsche owners tired of PCA politics but open to any and all sports cars. There are quite a few members from the Charlotte area. They usually have several drive & dine trips and a couple of overnight trips per year.

I love a good trek up to NC.... But that would be a long way for me to push my car ATM. LOL

Maybe in 2 years???

Gotta work the Cheroholla skyway in that voyage though. I do the skyway every year with a bunch of other RX7s.
