Seriously, I'm not concerned about water coming up.
I'd turn around and go another route before I'd drive through that. Actually, I wouldn't even drive in that weather. However, in a pinch, no pun intended, the hairpin trick would work.

The drain plug is "an ounce of prevention" effort.
