Point well-taken.

Believe me, I've given it considerable thought before I decided to drill that hole. I took into consideration all possible scenarios and the chances of those scenarios happening, and I concluded I'm better off with this. I haven't driven through a flooded street since GW Bush was in office. ah, the good-ol days! But I digress! :D Even then, I could have simply turned around.

But if I find myself in that situation with my Box and for some reason I cannot turn around, I'll just use one of my wife's hair pins, reach under and use it to pinch the tube shut. ;)

Seriously, I'm not concerned about water coming up.

I'd turn around and go another route before I'd drive through that. Actually, I wouldn't even drive in that weather. However, in a pinch, no pun intended, the hairpin trick would work.

The drain plug is "an ounce of prevention" effort.
