This guys wife must really be on his case to sell his Boxster!

"Gee Honey - I have it listed on eBay - not a single person has bid on it. I guess we'll just have to keep it in the garage a while longer."

Looks like its been sitting for the last 10 years. In Dec, 2010, the car had 14,000 miles and reached 15,000 in Dec, 2013. Then it didn't move a mile for 5 years. Since 2013, only 588 additional miles.

Why would you keep it registered in Ill when it's been in AZ for 11 yrs? I don't know anything about either state's registration fees, but if I had to guess would say it would be cheaper in AZ. And I wonder how Ill would take an AZ smog test? Maybe the full time residence was still Ill and they're just snow birds? IDK. So many questions with the titling of the car.

He must feel confident it's going to sell as he has a very short pick-up window (as in next wk ONLY). No ebay history - hmmmm. Wonder how old those tires are? Also wonder if the starting bid would buy it or if it's below the reserve? My dad liked to say you can always come down in price but you can't go up. This insane price would even make my dad shake his head.

And with the ultra low miles, sitting for 10 yrs, and the worst bearing (gen II), this one would be an ideal candidate for IMS failure.

I might go up to ~$29k if it had yellow Klisstle rollbar covers, a de-amber, and a set of Fred's center caps in yellow. As is, it looks like a $15k car tops.

And there is more to keeping a car in storage than a battery tender and Stabil in the gas.
Was the engine run up to operating temperature every now and then, preferably on a drive? I suspect not.

Yeah, good luck with sale...

Hmm, no bids yet.

That's a LOT of yellow.

I kinda like the looks of it. Not for that price though. Owner must be a snowbird.

Fleabay member since 2016 with no history. Can't imagine why?

Keeps cars for a very loooong time that is for certain. Wonder how many miles and how much he wants for the Taurus? LOL
