What is this loop on thr roll bar for? (2004 Base)

I've had the car for years and never noticed. Didn't see anything in the manual about it.
I know aside from the Cup Holders, nothing on the Boxster is an afterthought, so there probably is a reason for those little loops welded to the roll bar like that.

They are used for hooking the fish net that is on top of the engine cover. If you have the speaker bar, you won't have a net?
