Repairing mounting tab on headlight housing.

Has anyone successfully replaced a broken tab on a housing with something else? I've tried several types of glue without success with the original tab that broke but it came apart while driving and is history. Case isn't cracked.
Ideas?

Swap the case. I wouldn’t trust anything else.

Thanks but I don't think I'm capable of that unfortunately. I'd break it.

If you have the broken pieces or another case you could cut parts from you could try fuse it together with a Harbor Freight plastic welder. But I think Particlewave is right. Based on the projects you have posted here, I think you are more than capable of successfully taking a headlight apart and putting it back together. I am way less talented than you and just removed the other lens from one of my headlights to re-glue the projector lens into its shroud and I got it done. If you get another headlight or case once you get the lens off the rest is very straightforward.

I've got a empty case just have to work up the nerve to take the xenon apart. The insides of these old headlights are really fragile.
