97 gear shift linkage change help
Hi!
All of a sudden I heard a knock and lost all my gears the other day, except 3rd. Apparently a joint rod broke. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1575410494.jpg Because I have a 97 Boxster (vin 1050) I have to get a new linkage assembly and new cables, but can anyone help me understand which part numbers I have to get? http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1575410654.jpg It seems I need to get 986.424.913.06 and 986.424.041.10, but do I also need to buy 986.424.013.06? TIA |
I think I have everything you need to transfer to the newer 98.5-2004 style for $50+shipping. Cables, linkage and brackets

if that is the only piece that is broken, you can easily make a new one with a couple parts from McMaster-Carr, no need to replace cables and other parts.
