clutch shudder on initial startup

My '99 986 is a fine machine, wonderful to drive. I must admit that I have been spoiled over my last 10 years of ownership with only 2 non-routine items ... a new top with glass window after the OEM plastic cracked about 6 years ago, and a new water pump earlier this year.

But I have started to experience a clutch "shudder", but ONLY on the initial cold startup.....after that it's as smooth as it always has been......

any thoughts?

How many miles on the clutch?

could be an issue with the duel mass flywheel.

I get the same "clutch shudder" upon the first one or two accelrations if the engine is cold. Feels like a clutch issue maybe slipping slightly. (I'm a very gentle manual shift driver)......after the first one or two accelerations in 1st gear, the car is perfect. (1998 w/85,000 miles)

Just did a Google seach ...... Porsche Boxster clutch shudder on initial startup....and found a lot of discussion.....check it out!!
