Hardtop stand

There is a hardtop stand on Craigslist listed for a 996. Anyone know if it will work for a 986 hardtop? My top is not accessible, so I cannot try it.

Why not build one? All it takes is some PVC & glue. If you look on youtube there are many that build them for the Miata. The same stand will work. I built mine for under $20 since I already had some casters laying around.

What kind of stand is it? If it's a wall mount one it won't work because the 986 and 996 tops are different lengths, if it's just a cart it will probably work.

It’s the cart type.

I bought a rolling stand in 8/15 for $113.72 on Ebay. Works great. I added some additional padding to it for better protection. It came with a bag type cover.

The link looks to be the exact stand I have. Yes I could've built it myself, but for that price why?

Yes it will work. I bought one from a local recycler and have been using it for the past couple years.
