$800!!!! For a transmission oil change!

I was looking into changing my tranny oil and I called the dealership......$800 parts and labor. Can anyone tell me why they would charge this much?

Hi,

I bet that's for a TipS tranny. My dealership wants $600 for it and that includes a new filter, gasket, Hypoid Gear Oil for the separate differential, and 9.5 Qts. of Porsche ATF. I will do it myself for about $200.

The Manual cannot be anywhere near this cost. No filter, gasket or other parts and only 2.4 Qts. of Gear Lube...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99
