replaced windows regulator but windows is not aligned perfectly going up and down

Hi Guys,

I replaced the windows regulator on the passenger side and failed to mark the regulator rail at the bottom before removing the old ones. Now with the new ones in, I can't seem to get it just right in moving the windows up and down without hitting the top. It's making a noise where it sounds like it's hitting the top of the door before the glass shows above the door panel. At the moment, it is able to roll up and down but it's not perfect and sounded a bit stressed. Not sure if the front and back rails are at alignment and I'm sure how to tell.

Sadly this is a cheap eBay regulator and the front rail is quite tight in moving along the slot at the bottom. I'm not sure if that's what's causing the hangup.

Is there any trick to get the windows to align?

Thanks!

G.

It takes patience to get it right. Did you relearn/program the windows after your install?

I used the Bentley manual and the tech article from Pelican to figure it out. Take your time and you'll get it.
