Heating Problem - I'm Stuck - Please help!

Hi Everyone, i'm dealing with an issue that's driving me nuts. My car had no heat all of a sudden last week. No matter what temperature I put the car at, there was zero heat coming through the vents...not even lukewarm air. I pulled my radio out and unplugged my ciggarette adaptor and decided i'll deal with it another day and plugged everything back in. Then, I had HEAT AGAIN! Great! however, then I had no AC and the heat would stay on, no matter what temperature I used. Today, back to heat and only heat.

What could be causing this? It seems like there's some kind of switch or door that's malfunctioning. Just to be clear, it's not blending different temperatures. It's either Hot Heat or Cool AC. One or the other. I'm looking for a starting point to tackle this issue and get it done. any ideas?
