Correct engine temperature ?

I just had my1999 boxster in for a new clutch, flywheel and IMS bearing. I know having these items fixed has nothing to do with the cooling system. Before the repair the motor ran just a tick under 180 and now it’s just slightly above 180 which is close to the middle of the temperature gage. I was on the expressway doing 75-80 mph with no A/C and the outside temperature was high 60’s. Is this anything to worry about? Or is this normal?

Normal. Don’t worry about it. Don’t get on the car until it reads 180, after that you are fine. I autocross and sometimes it goes to 185 or so. Not to worry.
