New Shifter Rescues Boxster

Ok, so thread title a little dramatic, but friend and I installed a numeric adjustable shifter in my 2002 boxster s last night and it’s awesome.

The prior owner had an OEM short shifter installed. Not clear if all the bushings were worn out, or maybe cables attached badly, but it was terrible. Heel toe almost impossible because I had to work so hard to move the lever.

Numeric with original cables saved the day.

I do have the numeric cables too - debating whether to install them or not.

I highly recommend the shifter for those of you looking to transform tour car - it’s a pleasure to drive now. And it’s pretty.
