Is this dealer story credible
My 2000S had the airbag light come on and threw the drivers seatbelt code, the dealership is saying that the seat belt and the harness under the seat, both need to be replaced. They have a harness kit Porsche part 000-043-206-06. Resistance has built up in the harness over the years.
Is this any experienced before, is it credible? David |
It will be the buckle and harness, but not the belt itself. Fairly common and a simple fix. ;)

Been there done that shortly after my purchase 3 years ago at 60K miles. New buckles and repair kit with gold-plated connector pins. And Autel scanner that is able to reset airbag light.

legit then?
So it sounds like the concept of needing to replace the harness is legit, plug and play or cut and solder?

Boxstard - which (model) Autel scanner
I am looking to buy a inexpensive but decent (if that exists) OBD scanner - any particular manufacturer and model recommendation?

Sounds like the DiagLink is what you want. Choose Porsche as your starter make and buy others when needed. It can do almost everything the Durametric can (actual values, reset airbag, etc.). |
+1 on the Autel MD802. I use it on my Boxster, Volvo and GMC 6.6L diesel.

orginal inquiry
Does anyone know if this is plug and play or cut and solder?
