				Gasket? between headlight and body

Is this a replaceable part, does anyone know the part number?

The part numbers are stamped on the seals , unfortunately they are not available from Porsche or the aftermarket . Seems most folks are using self stick closed cell weatherstripping foam with some success . I tried to get an automotive aftermarket manufacturer involved a few years ago to make some molds and spit out some pieces . They were not interested as it is quite complex for what it is .

Search the thread by JBauer on headlight gasket. He found a roll of material from McMaster Carr that looked like it was a fairly good option when no other option might be available.

I believe it is rubber and others have used it for headlights
There are some threads her regarding it

If $20 is too expensive for a minor repair, perhalps you should not own a Porsche

Not to butt in, but I felt compelled. I think the real asshat comment was saying that one should not own a Porsche because they think $20 is too much for some generic of foam, rubber or whatever it is.

About 2 decades ago, when writing down the "time", I stopped to consider the AM/PM day/night designation. Since then I have not included the "M" believing it to be reduntant. So, since ~2000 it's been A or P.

Thus, I'm at my best at 330A... but can get testy.

The "asshat" label comes with a fairly deragatory definition. I fail to meet it.

Cheers!

ah... thanks.

We all can be asshats at one time or another, but I didn't see your particular comment fitting the description.
