Oh boy this sucks....
So I wanted some more treble from my stereo. I love to hear cymbals crash and such,so treble is all I seek. I thought that ordering some CDT Audio 5EX 5.25" coaxial driver for the door would work....I installed everything fine,go to turn on the stereo and all I get now is LOW frequencies from the door speaker.....It's too much for the 5.25" coaxial driver to handle I think. Is there a crossover in the factory amp for the door panels? If so is there a way to turn it off?

Hi,
Haven't got a clue - never looked into it. But, check out these guys: http://www.carstereohelp.com/ . You may find what you're looking for on the site, or shoot them a question, they should be able to set you straight. Hope this helps... Happy Motoring!... Jim'99 |
The door speakers are sub woofers for the system. So I suspect there is some type of crossover in the wiring in the door. Perhaps it is behind the large sound chamber??? Go to www.beckerautosound.com and call their tech support guy. He is very knowledgeable on the porsche radios and can probably help. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
