new tie rods dont fit???

Just purchased new inner and outer tie rods for my 2001 boxster 2.7. When I go replace them the car only has one piece tie rod and its definitely a different fit. All the videos I see has two pieces but my car only has one. Any ideas? Am I missing something?

What you're trying to replace is not a tie rod. It's a link. Tie rods connect to the steering rack.
