Painting bumper question?

I was at the mall today and as i was leaving an old lady backed into my rear bumper. There isn't a dent just a few paint chips. I was woundering if anyone had an idea of what it might cost to get my rear bumper re-painted, and do you think i should take it to the Porsche dealer ship an hour away or just have someone local do it?

WoBoxster, most Porsche dealerships don't have bodyshops, so don't worry. Go to the best paint shop in town who does high-end cars like yours. Veiw their work.

I think it will cost about $700 give or take $100. Are you sure there is no internal damage?

Hey WoBox, do you have painted bumperettes now? If not, this may be a good time to give your car a "newer" look in the back. Just a thought!

Take it to someone quallified to inspect

for hidden damage. I could show you a rear-ender picture you'd be hard pressed to see any damage. But muffler, structure, bumper cover etc damage were well over $3k. Body shop worked on lots of P-cars so knew what to look for.
