So I've unsuccessfully been looking for a pic of how a carpet-less 986 looks like, but no luck. I.e., I'd appreciate if someone could give me a pointer.

Besides, I''m also looking for a pic of how a stripped down (fully exposed) brake handle looks like -- without all the plastic.

I just got those aluminum race floor-panels that I'm debating whether to install, in lieu of my soaked & stinky carpets, or not...

(Btw, if anyone in SF bay area knows how to reset an immobilizer, please p.m. me)

I love what you got there, nicely stripped out to be a minimalist. This is where I’m going to, I’d still keep air bag, simply because I love my riveted mahogany steering wheel, but already took out the radio and center console, firewall and engine top carpets, replanted original plastic engine cover with lighter 987 alum cover, and I’m in process to remove carpet and wondering about modding door cards with light fabric bottom replacing carpet/ speaker grill and RS door pull strip. How did you manage the micro switch there for window-drop?

And of course bucket seats for major weight reduction... I’m searching.

Push start button? How did you do that?

Sorry guys, I sure wish that one was mine. Dont know why it didn't load with my comments, pic only, but that was posted here previously. I apologize but I dont have the information to give credit where it is due.

Be careful what you wish for. I did that with my 911 years ago. Removed carpet, stereo, AC. Hated it, I could hear every creak and rattle. For a track car yes, street car be careful. I'm actually going to add sound proofing.
