Would a 2003 2.7 direct fit a 2002 2.7?

I know some things changed over the years, but would a 2003 motor fit in a 2002? Straight swap?

I think there is a difference in the ECU,..due to a 3 chain versus a 5 chain engine,..I would like to know myself .

No the variocam system changed and the ecm is different. Only 00 to 02 will work.
