Can U just pull Oil Filter,? ?

Can you just pull the filter to check for debris and not lose to much oil./?? Thanks Frank

Yes.

You'll lose what's in the canister, but not much.

Yes. I don't know off the top of my head how much oil the cartridge holds, but it isn't enough to cause the oil level to drop much.

In fact that is about the best way to lower the oil level a small amount should you overfill it

The easiest and cleanest way to get the correct level after an overfill.

Hi, yes you can. when I pulled mine on a warm engine I lost the oil in the canister as well as a bit of a splash from the area above it.
In total a bit under half a quart oil lost.
